Studio Rob Woo is an independent film studio in Ibiza, led by filmmaker and photographer Rob Woo Boekestijn. We create films for architecture, residences and hospitality, approaching each project through its own character, context and visual possibilities.
Based in Ibiza. Working across Mallorca and selected projects in Spain.
Observe. Shape the rhythm.
Rob’s visual language was shaped through years of fashion and editorial photography, where light, composition and the relationship between subject and environment were central to the image.
That background still informs the work today — in the way light is read, colour is controlled and a frame is reduced to what matters.
Film introduced another dimension: movement, duration and sound. The eye remained. The possibilities became wider.
Studio Rob Woo is built around a clear creative point of view, with Rob leading the work from the first idea through production and post-production.
Concept, visual direction, filming, editing, colour and sound remain connected rather than passing through separate creative layers.
When a project calls for more, the production expands around it — with assistants, specialist crew, talent and creative collaborators brought in according to what the work requires.
The scale can change. The point of view does not.
Some moments need to be constructed. Others disappear the moment they are pushed too far.
We begin by looking — at how light moves through a space, how someone naturally enters a frame, where stillness holds more tension than movement and when a small change is enough.
Direction comes from understanding the difference.
The intention is not to leave everything untouched, but to know what deserves shaping and what is already doing the work.
Ibiza is home and the base of the studio.
Working here brings an intimacy with its light, architecture and landscape — the dry intensity of summer, softer winter light, changing coastal conditions and the close relationship between interior and exterior.
That familiarity informs the work without becoming an aesthetic imposed on every project.
Studio Rob Woo works across Mallorca and selected projects in Spain, with projects further afield considered where the fit is right.
Three areas of focus, each approached on its own terms.
Visual Study — selected source material included.

A film is shaped as much by what is withheld as by what it reveals.
Which moment is allowed to linger. When movement adds meaning. When sound can carry the scene. When the image has already said enough.
That instinct continues through the edit, colour and sound — refining
If there is a project taking shape and you think our vision could add something to it, we’d like to hear about it.
